1. Who We Are
Proclame (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a social media content tool for small businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using Proclame, you agree to this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: Your email address and password (passwords are securely hashed by Supabase — we never see them in plain text).
- Business profile: Business name, industry, city, state, target customer description, and tone preference — provided during onboarding.
- Media uploads: Photos and videos you or your Contributors upload to Proclame Hub.
- Generated content: AI-generated posts we create on your behalf, along with any edits you make to them.
- Social account tokens: When you connect Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok, we store an encrypted access token that lets us publish to your account. We do not store your social media password.
- Billing information: Subscription and payment data is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not see or store your credit card number.
- Usage data: Basic information about how you use the app (e.g., pages visited, features used) to help us improve the product.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To generate social media posts tailored to your business using Anthropic's Claude AI.
- To publish content to your connected social media accounts when you schedule or approve posts.
- To process your subscription and send billing-related communications.
- To send product updates, feature announcements, and support emails.
- To improve the accuracy and quality of the Service over time.
We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party providers to operate the Service:
- Supabase — database and authentication. Your account and business data are stored here with row-level security, meaning only you can access your own records.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — AI text generation. Your business profile is sent to Anthropic to generate posts. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy.
- Stripe — payment processing. All billing data is handled by Stripe under PCI-DSS compliance.
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok — when you connect these accounts, their respective platform policies also apply.
5. Social Media Tokens
When you connect a Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok account, we store your OAuth access token encrypted with AES-256-GCM. This token is used exclusively to publish content to your own connected account on your behalf. It is never shared with other users, and we never post to any account other than yours.
6. Proclame Hub and Contributors
If you use the Proclame Hub feature and share an invite link with customers or team members, those Contributors create their own free Proclame accounts and upload media directly. Their media is stored securely and only accessible to you as the Hub Owner. Contributors' email addresses are not shared with you, and their uploads cannot be published without your explicit approval.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains stored so you can reactivate your account later. You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us — see Section 9 below.
8. Cookies
We use cookies solely for session management (keeping you logged in). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We do not run analytics tools that track you across other websites.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information in your account.
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Disconnect your social media accounts from the Settings page at any time.
- Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
